March 8-14 Menus from Julie

Sunday - Tasha's Chicken
8 oz cream cheese
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 package dry italian dressing mix
chicken breasts
Mix first three ingredients together. Pour over chicken breasts. Cook in slow cooker on low for about 6 hours. Serve over noodles. Yummy!

Monday - Sloppy Joes
Use your own recipe, or you can try the one I often use:
hamburger, browned
1 can chicken gumbo soup
squirt of catsup
squirt of mustard
glob of brown sugar
capful of vinegar

Tuesday - Ham and Beans
***SOAK one pound of small white dry beans overnight***
Meaty ham hock (smoked is best)
1 lb of small white dry beans, pre-soaked
1 can stewed (or whatever) tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1-2 ribs of celery, chopped
1 tsp (or amount needed) salt
Cover with water and simmer till beans are tender (probably 3-4 hours). Shred meat off bones and return to soup.

Wednesday - One Pot Slinky Meal
Boil all together in saucepan:
Hamburger, browned
1 packet taco seasoning
1 lg can tomatoes
slinky noodles
water
You'll probably have to keep adding water. Easy and good!

Thursday - Sunday leftovers, this time over rice

Friday - Beef Stew
1 lb stew meat (can use hamburger, instead)
4 potatoes, diced
4 carrots, diced
1 onion, diced
1/2 cup pearl barley
1 can cream of celery soup
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 bay leaves (remove before eating)
1 T. chopped parsley
1 T. worchestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
few shakes pepper
Soak barley for about 4 hours. Put all ingredients in crock pot. Add enough water to cover. Cook until veggies are soft and meat is tender, about 4-6 hours (or all day).

Saturday - Hot Dogs (What do you think about this, Janelle?!?)
